Carl, Anita & Baby Ryan!

We had an awesome visit with our dearest friends two weekends ago (July 4-5)... and loved spending time with baby Ryan! Ok, so he's not such a baby anymore - but he'll always be MY baby!!
So they arrived the morning of Friday July 4th! We had fun playing out back for awhile, had lunch, then headed to the Cape May Zoo. It was very hot and humid, but we had a great time! Pops rode his motorcycle (too many of us to fit in one car). On the way home from the zoo, Tim and I rode on the motorcycle while Pops drove our car. It was great to go for a nice motorcycle ride - its been awhile.

When we got home from the zoo, we had a nice BBQ on the grill. So Yummy! Then we relaxed and watched some TV. Tim and I took Kaitlyn and Morgan to the fireworks. Megan and Madison dont like fireworks, so they stayed home and watched a movie with Carl & Anita. We wanted to see the Ocean City fireworks, but didnt want to deal with the crowds and traffic, so we sat at Kennedy Park in Somers Point and could see them nicely (although far away!) We had a nice time and it was peaceful to just have two kids...heehee.

On Saturday, we went to Longport Beach in the morning. The weather was cloudy, cool and overcast, but we still had a great time. It was fun building sandcastles, taking a walk, finding sand crabs and introducing Ryan to the sand and ocean! Anita & I tried to read our books, but that didnt go so well with so many kids around! Madison decided to spend the morning with Mommom and Poppop, so she didnt come to the beach with us.

After the beach, we had a huge BBQ - there was more food than you can imagine! Carl & Anita actually brought a cooler full of food with them from PA - all kinds of meats, condiments, rolls, chips, macaroni & potato salad, etc! Talk about awesome people!
Anita is a certified massage therapist, so she brought her massage table down - and after dinner, she gave my mom and I a nice massage. It was a great way to spend a fun visit together!
