How often do you change your toothbrush?
I have a Sonic Care toothbrush with replaceable heads. The heads get replaced every three months.

What is your favorite item of clothing to shop for?
Children's clothing!

Do you use social media (Twitter, Facebook, etc.)? Which do you use most often?
Yep - I'm on Facebook quite a bit... my new phone has a direct Facebook button! Plus blogging of course ;) I'm curious about twitter, but havent looked into it and dont really see the point yet?

What would you do with an extra hour each day?

What would I like to do? Read, exercise, digital scrapbook. What I would probably do? Sleep!

Do you wear a watch? If so, tell us about it. If not, how do you keep track of time?

Yes, I wear a watch every day and feel naked without it. My watch is a Seiko that Tim bought me about 8-9 years ago and I LOVE it! It is mostly silver with some gold touches.

If it was possible, would you want to know how many days you had left to live?

Yes, I think I would want to know. Could be scary, but I couldn't resist if that info was available to me.

Can we truly love someone who loves another? I believe we can. I think it is possible to truly love someone even if that love is not reciprocated.

What gives you hope?
My children give me hope. They are a sign that life goes on. There is a future. And they raise my level of optimism about what is to come.


How often do you get your haircut? Describe your worst haircut.
I only get my haircut like every 2-3 months (if I'm lucky). My worst haircut was when I decided to go really short and I hated it. It wasn't the hairdresser's fault, I take all the blame. It was awful.


What's your most treasured piece of jewelry? Why?
My Pandora bracelet... It was a gift from Tim and the girls for Mother's Day last year. So far I have 9 charms on it - each was personally chosen for me with special meaning. It is expensive (which I usually don't like) but I wear it every day and I really do treasure it!

Do you have any idiosyncrasies or unusual quirks when it comes to food and/or eating?

Yes, lots! I find 'seeds' in hamburger, cheese steaks, etc. I don't eat to the end of a chicken finger. Can't eat cold french fries, pizza, etc. The list goes on and on...heehee.

Have you ever written love letters? If so, do you still have any of them?

Yes and Yes!

How easy or difficult is it for you to say you're sorry?

Well it depends what I am apologizing for and who it is to. If it is something minor, its not so hard. But overall, it is difficult for me.

I would rather keep this one unspoken.

Do you make New Year's resolutions? Why or why not?

I make goals and predictions for the New Year. Because I think it is the perfect time to evaluate your life and make necessary changes. Like a fresh start for the New Year.

Who do you nominate as “Man or Woman of the Year” for 2008?

Probably Barack Obama. Not necessarily because I love him, but I think he really overcame many obstacles and although the odds were initially stacked against him, he won. I do think he will take his new job seriously and I hope that he has our country's best interest in mind.


What was your greatest accomplishment in 2008?

Wow, that's a tough one. I guess starting my new job. I love it and it fits our family's needs perfectly.

I would definitely say something - and would probably scream!

If you could put anyone you know on Prozac, who would you choose?

hmm... I can think of a few, but to choose just one - my MIL - and I'd force her to actually take it!

How do you feel about public displays of affection?

eh... could take it or leave it Holding hands, occasional kisses are fine. Sucking face & groping? No thanks!

Do you ever talk to yourself out loud? What do you talk about?
Yes. When I'm doing math sometimes. Or walking myself thru the steps to get something done - example: reading a box to make brownies 'OK, first I need eggs and oil. Then set the oven to 325.' etc. Sounds nutty, huh?!

What stresses you out?
Oh lord. A lot stresses me out lately. Money. Tim's job. Getting girls out the door in the morning. Getting girls to bed at night. Hmm... seem to be based around my husband and my kids, huh? lol

What are your secret talents?
Secret? I dont know if they're secret. But let's see if I have any talents. I think I'm pretty creative with scrapbooking. And getting better at taking fun photos. I type fast. That's a tough one... can anyone think of talents I have???

Do you believe people are basically good?
Yes. Of course there are exceptions. And good people have their 'bad' moments. But basically? Yes.

If you could change the custom of shaking hands, what would you replace it with?
Hmm... maybe a wave? or a wink? A smile's always nice :)

What is something that you enjoy that is a chore for most other people?
Thats a tough one - I guess paying bills and doing the budget. Although I dont enjoy paying bills when the money's not there...

What was the first thing you thought when you looked at yourself in the mirror today? 'Oh boy, you look tired!'

Do you have a recurring nightmare? If so, explain. Not really, or at least none that I remember.

List three foods you can’t stand: Mushrooms, that cold Cranberry sauce jelly stuff served at Thanksgiving (yuck!), Cottage cheese. (I could go on - heehee!)

How many hours of TV do you watch per week? Do you feel that's too much, not enough or just right? 10-12 hours/week. About 2 hours per night (M-F). That is just right for me, I dont watch TV at all during the day, but it is my relaxation after girls are in bed.

Which of the 5 senses do you feel is your strongest sense? My sense of smell definitely - I can smell things from miles away! Sometimes that's not a good thing ;)

What's the wackiest belief you held as a child? My older brother Sean told me that my face was a mask that I could remove to show a beautiful face underneath. I believed that from like age 3-6 years. Crazy, huh? He also told me I was adopted, which I believed for awhile also... sigh.

This is a meme I may have done before, but would like to start again - since the Ten on Tuesdays havent been very interesting lately... There is a Manic Monday Website who comes up with the questions and here are my answers:

How long does it take you to get out of bed in the morning?
Way too long - I set my alarm, then hit snooze usually twice. I hate mornings!

Do you usually sleep on one side of the bed or another?
Unconsciously I always choose the side of the bed farthest from the door. For the last 6-7 years at least, I am on the right side (if standing in front of the bed).

Something you wish to accomplish before the end of the year:
Yes, to lose about 5 lbs and exercise. I'd like to drop back down to a Size 8 by the first of the year.

If you were reincarnated as some other plant or animal, what would it be? Giraffe - partially because it would be so cool to be the tallest on the block and partly because they are so darn cool looking

If you owned your own restaurant, what would you call it? hmm, we would definitely serve the BEST hot wings around - and mozzarella sticks - quesadillas - but a name? How about... "By the Bay" - ok not so creative, but the food would be good!!
