10 Predictions for the Next 4 Years

1. All of my girls will be done with car seats...wow...
2. Our lease will be up on the Armada - we'll have a lower car payment!
3. I will be working full-time.
4. Kaitlyn will be in Middle School (6th grade...sigh)
5. Triplets will be in 3rd grade...oh my.
6. Tim's job will be more secure and less worry about lay offs.
7. Gas prices will probably go back up a bit (but hopefully not too high again!)
8. Tim & I will be at our goal weight and exercise regularly.
9. The world will view the US more positively - no more war for us.
10. Technology will continue to rapidly progress beyond our imagination.

OK...so some of that includes lots of positive thinking, but hey, why not?!?!

10 Memorable Vacation Moments


1. Ocean City, MD every year with Mommom and Poppop (from approx 1999 thru 2005)
2. Disneyland in California (Jan 2001)- memorable in a bad way :( I was pregnant (didnt know it was triplets yet) and so very sick - it was awful
3. Europe (France, Switzerland & Italy) when I was in high school - first time away from home like that and only time ever to cross the ocean
4. Aruba - our honeymoon 10 years ago - enough said!
5. Disney World in Florida - more than 5 times - most recently Aug 2002 & May 2006
6. Busch Gardens, VA - as a child with my family and grandmother - cozy memories
7. Venice, FL - visiting Mommom & Poppop - June 2007
8. Romantic cruise to Bahamas (Feb 2001-pregnant with Kaitlyn)- laying together in hammock on a secluded beach
9. Flight in small Cessna to Nantucket (Christmas 1999)- now I want to go back up there in summertime (after reading 'The Beach House')
10. This Summer - living here! Honestly, this feels like the longest, best vacation we've ever had and I'm loving every minute of it!!!

1. Technology: Internet, Email, IM, Web cams, Blogs
2. Cell phones - unlimited calling, free long distance, text messaging, Caller ID, Call waiting, 3-way calling
3. DVR, HDTV, Flat screen TVs, Laptops, Video cameras (handheld, DVD), Video games
4. iPods & online music, youtube
5. Digital cameras, online photo sharing & editing
6. Online activities: shopping, college degrees, Bill pay & banking, Mapquest, search engines (no more encyclopedias), Library searches (no card catalogs)
7. Cars: technology & gadgets (back up cameras, thermometer, digital compass, DVD players, etc)
8. Schools teach more advanced skills at younger grades, more expected of kids academically earlier on
9. Security/Safety since 9/11 - airports, amusements parks, in schools, sports complexes, concerts
10. Television - reality TV, more violence and bad language, news channels around the clock, digital cable includes On Demand and hundreds of channels

10 Things I'm Really Good At


1. Being a mom (at least I hope so) ... it's always been my #1 dream... to be a good mom!
2. Typing - I'm pretty fast (average 80 wpm) and usually pretty accurate
3. Spelling and proofreading
4. Journaling
5. Scrapbooking - not sure how good, but I love it - and now digital too!
6. Organizing lists, calendars, schedules
7. Word search puzzles, Sudoku, Hidden pictures (in the Highlights mag!)
8. Multi-tasking (I can test Kaitlyn on her spelling words, while pouring juice, listening to each of the triplets tell me a story- at the same time, yell at the dog and giving Tim a kiss goodbye!)
9. Making homemade chocolate milkshakes (thick, rich, yummy!)
10. Sleeping (honestly, I LOVE to sleep!)

10 Personality Quirks

1. I chew on inside of my cheek when nervous or bored
2. Sleep with heater by my bed
3. Load lots of chocolate into my chocolate milk
4. I prefer blue pens over black.
5. After taking the wrapper off my straw, I always blow thru it before putting it in my drink (and never EVER ball up your straw wrapper when we're together, PLEASE!?)
6. Tim & I have a secret language (we call 'LIF') that we use when we don't want others to know what we're saying (although Kaitlyn picked it up right away, she can understand AND speak it!)
7. Always sleep on the side of the bed farthest from the door.
8. I mute the TV during commercials - all the time (or FF if on DVR).
9. Have to check all 4 girls before going to bed myself - I cannot sleep if I have not gone to see each one of them.
10. Whenever I sneeze, I always sneeze twice.

1. My 4 girls - I never had a sister & always wanted a daughter.

5. Our home & our town - especially living close to the beach
6. Enjoying family activities together - boating, biking, playing games
7. Going to church as a family
8. Lucky enough to be a stay-at-home mom
9. Reading, scrapbooking, photography, my journals
10. My health - and the health of my family, we are so very blessed.

1. Replace countertop with granite
2. Install hardwood floor throughout (at least downstairs)
3. Build an addition off the side to add extra rooms.
4. Reface the fireplace with stone (floor to ceiling)
5. Completely renovate/modernize both upstairs bathrooms
6. New high-efficiency heating and air conditioning
7. All new upgraded windows and doors
8. Replace driveway and walkways with brick.
9. Professional landscaping
10. New Family Room furniture
