My brother Sean works as a Produce Manager for Wegman's in Downingtown, PA. Therefore, it has been difficult for them to get down to visit with us because he usually works 6 days per week and always works on weekends. So, we were lucky enough that Boochy (his wife) took a week's vacation and they were able to come down from Tuesday night (Aug 19) thru Thursday night (Aug 21). We had planned ahead so we wouldn't miss a minute of fun in our short time together!
The girls were very excited to see them drive up in front of our house! They ran right out to greet them and help carry their bags in. It was cute. We went from seeing Sean and Boochy at least twice per week, down to now only once every few months. So it has been an adjustment for all.
Wednesday morning, I had a 9-10am appointment with the school to complete my New Hire Paperwork. When I came home, Boochy had given the girls breakfast and showers, so we were ready to start the day! After lunch, Mom & I, the girls, Sean & Boochy all piled in my car (Tim was away and Pops had to work). We went to see the Atlantic City Air Show. We tried to find a place to park near AC, but of course that wasn't happening! So we decided to park in Ventor (after driving around for over an hour). We walked out onto the pier in Ventnor in time to see the last few acts. The most impressive for me was the US Air Force Thunderbirds! Tim and I have gone to many Air Shows together through the years and neither of us have ever gotten to see the Thunderbirds perform, so it was a special treat for me!

The jets were very loud and the girls didn't appreciate that too much! They held their ears for most of the performance, but they loved watching the show.
After the Air Show, we drove straight to Wildwood to walk the boardwalk and have Mack's pizza (different than our Mack n Manco's in OC) but still very yummy! Of course, we also had ice cream and water ice - always too much fattening ... er... delicious treats. We didn't get home until after 11:00pm and of course we were all exhausted and pretty much went straight to bed!
Thursday was more slow-paced - we slept in a bit, mom had a headache, so she had trouble getting out of bed. We were going to head to the beach, but after the late start, decided it would be better to just stay here and spend time together at the house in the morning. Sean & Boochy gave all 4 girls their birthday gifts since we hadnt seen them in awhile.
We had a big BBQ cookout, thanks to Pops going to the store for all kinds of goodies. After lunch, Pops went to work and we all went up to the OC Boardwalk for Family Night. They had musicians, dancing, Karaoke, magic shows, etc. It was fun, but extremely crowded and loud. Of course we ate and watched the Salt Water Taffy being made at Shrivers.
When we got home, we sang Happy Birthday and had cake to celebrate the four girls belated birthdays with Sean & Boochy.
Then they were on their way home around 11:30pm and as usual, our fun times together came to an end way to quickly.
