But starting in 2003, the photo albums abruptly end. That is, of course, when we began using only digital cameras. Therefore, I still have all of those photos (there are over 6,000 pictures just from 2007!!) However, they are all digital, on my computer (and back-up on discs), but do not exist in the physical form...
UNTIL NOW! I have decided (via the awesome benefit of snapfish's 9 cent prints) to print the best of the best and get back to having my photo albums. So I have begun with 2007 - I figure I can start there and work my way backwards. They shipped me (via an online coupon code for free shipping I may add!) the first set which covered January-June and that included over 700 pictures. I am now working on uploading the second half of the year, and loving every minute of it.
I still love scrapbooking, but you cannot capture every single moment that way. In some strange way, this makes me feel complete.
And as I look through the previous year, it amazes me how much happens in our lives on a daily, weekly, monthly basis! And how much changes, so quickly. I will share some of the highlights occasionally so you too may catch a glimpse into our lives over the past few years.
JANUARY:
Tim's Birthday-
Goodbye dinner for Mommom moving to Florida-
Baby Ryan when we first started watching him-

About to go look at your part 2 post. i am with you in i love having the photos. scrapbooks are great for some things but I love being able to flip through albums or pics-for its part of why i like the photobooks b/c sometiems I can squeeze a ton more photos on a page!
Snapfish is great for prints! I dont think I really ordred many prints in 2007 either-and i have plenty of photo albums to use so you may have just inspired me to go utilize that 9cent printing!
Oh-just a thought and knowing me i probably told you this before BUT if you have that many digital photos on the computer and CDS, you might consider subscribing to smugmug like i do. i think the cheapest plan is $40 a year (but I do have a $5 off coupon ur first year) but its unlimited space, and you can password protect your albums and share them AND they backup the photos in 4 different loctions in 3 different states so you always know your pics are safe. That is why I use it. Snapfish is great for prints but you cant retrieve your photos-smugmug you can always re-download your pics if you need to. Just a thought-let me know if you want the code-oh and you can try it out for 7 days free first too!

Hey! You should definitely do a year in review of photos - I would love to see that!
I think I am going to get a smugmug account - you have inspired me! I also got an external hard drive. So they are on my laptop, burned to DVD and on the external hard drive. But, a fourth (more secure) backup sounds good to me! ;)
